Wala. Long title. I don't know—I, uh, thought it'd be funny. Anywhoodidles. Wazzup, guys :DD. Or should I say—Thaumaturgs? eH? eH? It's a work in progress, okay? I can't just call you all Atlanters. Obvious reasons. Speaking of which—I'm going to figure out how to make a quiz for you guys to see what kind of Thaumaturg you are :00. Give me like... four years xDD. Beauty of procrastination.

Not actually—it's more that I don't know how to make one. I'll ask my techy best friend, Phoenix. Quite the intelligent boy, if I say so myself. And I do. You'll never meet anyone more dedicated to their friends than Phoenix himself. No—his name's not Phoenix. I just love codenames :D.

I don't know what I'm doing in case you can't tell—

LET'S GET ON WITH MY LIFE, SHALL WE?

Life of an author.

See, that's not too accurate because—let's be honest—my life is probably nothing like any other author. Why, you ask? Because I'm a homeschooled girl who skipped a grade, now proudly in her sophomore year of high school xDD. Does that mean I love 10th grade even more, though?

HA. HAHAHAHAHAHAA. Anyone out there in sophomore year reading this—I am with you ;-;. I'm taking an AP class this year, APUSH, and I kid you not, I'm about ready to throw this computer out the window.

Buuuut I can't because Ms. Zipporah—yes, looking at you, Zippyback the Grey—and I are trying to get through this together. So—other than that, school's been... school. Struggling a little bit with some grades, but who's not?

Don't answer that if you're flying through the school year. It'll make us strugglers feel pathetic.

AnYwHOOOO.

Now, I'm going to be all goofy and use code names for all people :DD. It'd make that dramatic effect, you know? That and it'd reflect Flaming Hawk. Read By the Dolphins to figure out what I'm referencing,

Plus, then I can complain about people who don't know their code names, like Geyser. Gah, I hate her.

Anyway, I have successfully convinced Phoenix to help me out with making a quiz. If he cannot do it, I shall ask Anthia. She's done it before—I believe, anyway. I could also just Google how to do it—that would work too.

Uh—swim updates. *Looks at the meet I just had.* We don't talk about that. Geyser—she kept being annoying as heck. I swear, it's her goal in life to be two-faced and start trouble. But whatever. One day, karma will strike back.

And I hope I'm there for it.

But yeah—work is just yk. Work. As a swim instructor, it's uh... yeah, mostly the parents. "WeLL mY sON—" Mate, I don't care what you say. Your son is friggen drowning in a 2-foot area of the pool—hE's NoT ReAdY.

Sighhh.

Gotta love parents.

Under the Surface of Writing.

See what I did there? :D. Anyway, since I could yap all day, let me just move on. This section of the blog merely states my ideas and shtuffidy mujuff.

So, in my opinion, once a character has a name, it's their name. You can't just pick a random name. It means something. To the author. To the book. To everything. A name is like the author throwing a piece of themselves into the story because it’s a reflection of them. What makes a good story? When the author doesn't just write to write. When they mix it with their experiences, their lives. Because it's like the readers are getting to know THEM. Not just some book they created. The reader will feel like they can relate to the author. Feel like they personally know them. That's what makes a good story—when the author makes it theirs.

But when an author tries to make something up? It could end pretty poorly. What if the details are wrong? What if there is not enough emotion? What if it's just a joke? Someone could be offended.

And then there are the authors who search deep down into their souls. Pour everything out into their novels. That's what it really is. Their lives impact the story. The names they choose reflect them. The personalities. Because yk—alter egos… People the authors wish they could be. Those exist. THAT is what the author uses.

Each character has a little bit of the author inside of them. Example: Lexi—she grows from someone stuck in the shadows to one who would do anything for her friends. Giuliana—she is loyal even after a rough patch. Helen—she sees things that others may not. Kara—won't say for spoilers. Tessa—unfortunately, her jealousy.

Each of these characters has a part of me in them. And each of their names means something to me. Even if the names are ones you've never heard around me, they still have a reason to be there.

So, in the end, I have the names for a reason. I have everything about them for a reason. They don't just form the story, they form me.

That'll conclude the blog, I think. Hope I didn't lose you xDD.

Keep catching waves??Shrugs buh bye.

Also, a map of Thaumaturgy is below.
